I graduated from the Kripalu School of Yoga and Ayurveda as an Ayurveda Health Counsellor and Yoga Specialist and am a certified professional member of the National Ayurveda Medical Association and Ayurveda Association of Canada. I came to Ayurveda after a long and varied career in mainstream Canadian healthcare as a nurse and educator. For most of that time, I always had the sense that “something was missing” in our health care system which is illness/disease based. To me, Ayurveda represents what is missing…a system that, at it’s foundation, is based on harmony and balance within each person’s unique constitution that is established within universal laws of nature, to PREVENT illness.
Along with Ayurveda, I bring to my practice a background in nursing, education and yoga therapeutics. I look forward to working with the individuals and groups to enhance health/wellness and prevent dis-ease through diet and lifestyle choices that based on the time tested, do-able and affordable concepts of the ancient, and still practiced, concepts of Ayurveda and Yoga, it’s sister science.
